The Order Process

Once you’ve placed an order for your veneers, we’ll post our easy-to-use self-impression kit to you, free of charge. We post all of our kits with Signed for delivery, so please ensure someone is in to take delivery.

NB. If you have an existing account simply login to your account and place your order. You will then need to print off your order and send along with the impressions into the lab.

Once you receive your self-impression kit, please read the instructions carefully to ensure you provide us with a ‘suitable’ impression. A good impression should only take 5 minutes to complete, providing you follow the instructions carefully. The key is to mix the putty for exactly 60 seconds forming one uniform colour, and be sure to take a deep and central bite and leave in the mouth for 3 minutes.

If you have crowns, bridges or veneers then we recommend that the self-impression kit is supervised by ideally a dental professional as there could be a small chance of them being pulled out if they are not secure or if the putty is left in too long. Should you proceed with the self-impression kit it would be at your own discretion.

If you are unsure about the suitability of your impression please email us a photograph to: info@instasmile.com Don’t worry if you make a mistake, we include a free attempt within the price. If you are still unsure you can always call us directly on +44 (0) 1942 674770 and we will happily talk you through the process.

Once you’ve taken your impression and it’s set successfully, place it into the medical bag and use the FREEPOST mailing box provided (UK only) to post it back to us.

When we receive your completed impression, one of our experienced lab team will check it’s suitability. If they’re happy, you’ll receive an email confirming receipt and informing you that the production of your veneers is underway. If your impression needs to be re-taken, we will get in touch with you.

If you have ordered the Platinum product, once we have received your impression we will firstly send you a prototype product as a temporary solution in order to double check the accuracy of the fit. It will also give you the time to adjust to the product whilst you wait for your Platinum product to be made. Should there be any sort of issue with the fit of the prototype, please contact us immediately prior to us commencing manufacture of the Platinum.

All being well, your veneers will be made within 30 days. Once again, we’ll send them via Signed for delivery.

Once received, simply pop it in, and smile away.

Self-Impression Kit Instructions

Our self-impression kit is simple, but before we begin, here are some important things to note.

  1. The INSTAsmile impression technique is unsuitable for those who have bridgework, or for those who are undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment.
  2. If you have a loose tooth, it is advisable to delay taking the impression until the loose tooth is no longer present. 
  3. Please ensure that the putties are kept at room temperature before use (ideally between 18 - 24 degrees Celcius). The impression putty is a commonly used high grade dental impression material. If you require them, material safety data sheets are available on request.
  4. If you have crowns, bridges or veneers then we recommend that the self-impression kit is supervised by ideally a dental professional as there could be a small chance of them being pulled out if they are not secure or if the putty is left in too long. Should you proceed with the self-impression kit it would be at your own discretion.

Within your self-impression pack, you will find:

  • Impression putty (yellow and white).
  • Impression trays.
  • Instruction guide.
  • Impression medical bag.
  • Return envelope

To take an effective impression, you will require a mirror. Please ensure your hands are clean and washed before you being the following process: 

Step 1

  • Select an impression tray.
  • Take one yellow and one white putty out of their tubs and place them in the centre of your hand.

Step 2

  • To prevent premature setting, the following stage needs to be completed within 90 seconds.
  • Mix the putties together in your hand, for exactly 60 seconds, until they create a putty that is one uniform color. Once mixed, form the putty into a sausage shape and place into the impression tray.
  • Using your thumbs gently push the putty to the outer edges of the tray ensuring there are no blue edges showing. Make sure there’s plenty of putty at the front of the tray too as this will ensure we get a full impression of your teeth and gums.

Step 3

  • Looking in a mirror, open your mouth as wide as you can, and, using both hands, insert the impression tray in your mouth ensuring your teeth are aligned in the centre of the tray.

Step 4

  • With both thumbs on the bottom of the tray, firmly push the tray upwards until your teeth hit the bottom. Using your two forefingers, flip your top lip over the front of the tray.
  • Using both hands keep the tray in place for 3 minutes.
  • At this point it is important to not move or talk. Do not push the tray up or pull it out. This will cause an inaccurate impression.

Step 5

  • After 3 minutes, start to gently rock the impression tray back and forth in your mouth, gently teasing it from your teeth and gums. Pull down gently. Once the tray is out of the mouth, rinse with cold water and allow to dry naturally.
  • Do not remove putty from the tray. The tray and putty need to be returned intact to INSTAsmile.
  • Check your impression. A good impression means you can see all of your teeth clearly in the tray as well as a deep outline of your gum above the teeth. With a bad impression, teeth look stretched or distorted, the bite is shallow or no gumline is visible. If you’re not sure whether your impression is good or bad, send us a photo.

Step 6

  • Place your completed impression in the enclosed clear medical bag and return it, along with any unused putty and impression trays, using the Freepost bag provided. 
  • Fill in your name, delivery address, date of birth and reference number on the medical bag and return to us at the address specified in your impression kit.

Shipping

Unfortunately, we cannot deliver to the following countries.

Belarus, Burma/Myanmar, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Federal Republic of Yugoslavia & Serbia, International Criminal Tribunal for The Former Yugoslavia, Iran, Iraq, Ivory Coast, Lebanon and Syria Liberia, North Korea (Democratic People Republic of Korea), Republic of Guinea, Somalia, Sudan, Zimbabwe, Cuba, Balkans Please review and verify your shipping address on all orders. We are not responsible for orders that do not arrive because an incorrect shipping address was provided.

Once you place your order with INSTAsmile Limited and it has been accepted we will dispatch a self impression kit next working day (Monday – Friday excluding public holidays). Once we dispatch the self impression kit to you we will advise you via email of the relevant tracking information in order to trace your shipment. Once an impression kit has been dispatched from the relevant INSTAsmile office liability of goods is transferred from us to the carrier until it is signed for by you at which point you accept the receipt of goods. Original impression kits are dispatched with a return label so you are able to return the impression to us. We are unable to process impressions older than 6 months nor can we be held responsible for returned impressions that are deemed lost. 

On receipt of a suitable impression we will endeavour to manufacture your INSTAsmile product within 30 working days. If there is a problem with your order during the production process, we will contact you to discuss any amendments to the order.

When your custom made INSTAsmile product has been manufactured we will advise you via email of the dispatch details. Once a shipment has been dispatched from the relevant INSTAsmile office liability of goods is transferred from us to the carrier until it is signed for by you at which point you accept the receipt of goods

Lost in Post Items

If you don’t receive the package within 7 days of receiving your dispatch confirmation email:

  • Check the tracking details online
  • See if someone else has accepted delivery.
  • Look around the delivery location.
  • Look for a notice of attempted delivery.
  • Look for a notice of attempted delivery.
  • Contact your local Post Office

If you are still unable to trace your package please contact us after 7 working days have expired and we will try our best to assist you. 

Occasionally deliveries are returned to us as undeliverable. When the carrier returns an undeliverable package to us, an INSTAsmile representative may contact you to verify the delivery address before it is re-shipped.

Orders that are returned to us as undeliverable (see below) can not be re-shipped until the delivery address is verified by you and any additional postal charges have been settled. If the item is undeliverable due to an error by INSTAsmile Limited, any additional postage costs may be wavered.

Reasons for Undeliverable Packages

  • Address is a P.O. Box or Private mailbox service. – We do not ship to P.O. Boxes or private mailbox services; all items must be shipped to a street address.
  • Incorrect Address -If the address is incorrect or outdated, the package is typically returned to us by the Post office or the unintended recipient.
  • Failed Delivery Attempts – Usually the Postal service makes three attempts to deliver a package. After two attempts, the package will be returned to us.
  • Damaged During Transit. – If a package is damaged on its way to you, the shipper may return it to us without attempting delivery.
  • Refused by Recipient – If a recipient is not expecting a package, they may refuse it if they believe it was sent to them in error.

Warranty

Your INSTAsmile Warranty.

Manufacturing Warranty

Every model of the INSTAsmile (Classic, Plus and Platinum) comes with a standard 14-day Manufacturing Warranty which starts from 2 days after the product has been dispatched. This covers any faults found with your INSTAsmile that are deemed to have occurred due to a manufacturing fault. A list of manufacturing faults can be found below.

  • Product short on gum line*
  • Loose fit*
  • Rough edges
  • Manufactured with incorrect goals per order
  • Manufactured with incorrect shade per order
  • Wrong product made
  • Made with/without staining per order

*These manufacturing faults have occurred due to a fault with the impression provided by the customer. This will require a new impression from the customer before the issue can be resolved.

The Manufacturing Warranty does not cover/excludes the following.

  • Misuse of the product
  • Accidental damage
  • Attempted repairs
  • Cross bites / Under bites

 12 Month Extended Warranty

At the checkout, you are given the option to purchase a 12 Month Extended Warranty. This is a no quibble warranty that covers any form of breakages of the product, within the 12-month period. This starts from 2 days after your product has been dispatched. Within this time, the 12 Month Extended Warranty covers you for a maximum of up to 2 arches to be remade for you.

The 12 Month Extended Warranty does not cover/excludes the following.

  • Lost products

 If you have a problem with the product, we do require images (in some cases a short video clip) showing the issue with the product for our technicians to assess and provide a course of action/ remedy. Please contact customer services who will send you a returns form, then send the return form and the faulty product back for investigation by one of our technicians.

Returns Policy

1. If you change your mind after placing your order, we can cancel it for a full refund. If we have already sent out your impression kit, please return to us in the same condition it arrived and we will cancel your order for a one-off fee of $20* (€20).
2. One of the reasons INSTAsmile clip on veneers are so affordable is that it is the customers’ responsibility to send us a good quality impression to use. We’re here to help you achieve this, but if you’re struggling you should take your impression kit to a dentist. If you can’t provide a good quality impression, we can cancel your order for a one off fee of $100* (€59) that covers the impression stage materials and handling fee.
3. Once you receive your made-to-measure, fully customised INSTAsmile you have a 14 day manufacturer’s warranty to alert us to any faults. If you are unhappy with the product we will work with you, where possible, to modify the product but we cannot accept returns at this point as the product has been made to your specification and to fit your impression, so it cannot be resold.
* Please note for international orders including Canada the shipping fee is non-refundable and will be added to any one-off fees charged.

Veneer Aftercare

Inserting the INSTAsmile

  1. Establish the correct path of insertion to your natural teeth – do not force it.
  2. Place the product over your teeth
  3. Starting at the back apply pressure until it clips into place

Removing the INSTAsmile

  1. Always use 2 hands
  2. Starting at the canines (fangs) gently tease the product from side to side
  3. Never twist or flex the product once it has been removed

When cleaning your veneers, be sure to only wash them in lukewarm soapy water, if there is any left over debris within the INSTAsmile use a soft toothbrush to gently remove. Do not use the toothbrush on the outside of the INSTAsmile. Alternatively, for best results, use an INSTAsmile approved anti-bacterial cleaning tablet and ensure you rinse well before and after use.

Do not place your veneers in direct sunlight or in hot or boiling water as this may cause them to warp. If you keep your veneers in the provided storage case, ensure you clean the inside of your case regularly. 

Your veneers are a custom-fit product. As such, they are only designed to fit your mouth. Do not let others attempt to, or insert a veneer designed for your mouth, into theirs. This could lead to permanent damage.

Ensure you keep your veneers away from pets, as they are instinctively attracted to saliva.

Do not trim, cut or alter your veneers as this will void your warranty. If you have any issues with your veneers, please contact a member of our customer service team.

If your veneers happen to become loose, are tight or you find them uncomfortable to wear, please refrain from using them and contact us immediately.
